This week and next week is the 4th annual
New Orleans Dance Week 2018!
This amazing dance opportunity for the entire NOLA
community is hosted by the wonderful
New Orleans Dance Network.
The dates are July 16- July 27.
The first component is the $5 class challenge.
Many studios around the city are offering $5 drop-in classes,
so people can get a feel for what's available in this great city.
The second component is the Tour de Dance.
This exciting week includes different events around the city
showcasing the many different facets of the dance community.
I myself will be presenting a new solo in the
works-in-progress showing, at the beautiful Creative Arts Center!
And thirdly, but definitely not last is National Dance Day on July 28th!
People all over the country will be dancing in whatever form they choose.
NOLA Dance Week will be hosting a flash mob.
National Dance Day was created by So You Think You Can Dance producer and Dizzy Feet Foundation co-president Nigel Lythgoe. This grassroots campaign encourages Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and fight obesity.
